The Holistic Alternatives FZ LLC (hereinafter “THA” “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting and respecting the personal data that we collect. The Privacy Policy describes why and how we collect and use personal data and provides information on the individuals’ rights. This includes personal data provided by us, by individuals themselves or by others. We may use personal data provided to us for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

The information we collect could arise from visits to our website and resources that you have access to, including but not limited to traffic data, location data, weblogs, form filling and other communication data.

Personal data is information relating to an identified or identifiable living person. When collecting and using personal data, our policy is transparent about why and how we process this data.

We take the security of data we hold very seriously, all information you provide us is stored on our secure servers.

However, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we shall do our best to protect personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data during transmission to our site and any transmission is solely your own risk. Once we have your information, we will use strict third-party procedures and certified security payment features to try and prevent any unauthorised access.

THA may also use the information for, but not limited to:

  • providing information requested, in relation to our products and educational services;
  • providing information on other educational services which THA feel may be of interest to you and where you have permitted to receive this information;

  • if you are an existing learner, we may contact you with information about products and educational services. 

DATA THAT WE HOLD & PROCESS 

We provide services to individuals as well as organisations and/or groups. Data is processed depending on the service provided and on the recipient of this service. In the case of engaging with individuals, we may collect and process personal data in order to satisfy contractual and/or operational obligations. - Providing services to you. Data is processed in accordance with the purpose of which we have collected such data. We provide a range of online services that includes but is not limited to:

  • accredited and non-accredited courses - providing online training courses to individuals to take part in; and
  • examinations - holding examinations leading to professional qualifications and membership of correct affiliation.

The data that is processed is dependent on the service that is being provided and on the recipient of this service.

  • For accredited courses, personal data may include but is not limited to, name, contact details and ID documents for registration purposes, qualifications and certificates, photographs, videos and/or any other specifically relevant data.
  • For short courses (certificates of attendance), personal data may include but is not limited to, name, contact details and ID documents for registration purposes and/or any other specifically relevant data.

- Individual needs. During communicating and/or assessing the needs of learners, personal data may be processed in order to ensure that their needs are appropriately satisfied. This may include assessing whether the services provided to our learners are satisfactory.

- Administration. In order to manage and administer our online services, we may collect and process personal data. This may include, but is not limited to, maintaining internal learner records, managing learner relationships and maintaining internal operating processes.

  • Regulatory. In order for THA to achieve the highest standards, we may from time to time be required to collect and process personal data in order to fulfil regulatory, legal or ethical requirements. This may include, but is not limited to, the verification of the identity of clients/students.

HOW LONG WE HOLD YOUR DATA FOR

We retain personal data processed by us for as long as is considered necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. There may be occasions which will require data to be kept longer, for example, legal purposes.

Furthermore, personal data may be securely stored with restricted access where there is a need to continue to retain it. We will periodically review this data, to ensure that it is still relevant and necessary.

THIRD PARTY AFFILIATIONS

You might find links to third party websites on our website, such as but not limited to the ‘Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology’ online course. These websites should have their own privacy policies. We do not accept any liability for their policies as we have no control over them.

Personal data from our contacts, which covers both potential and prior learners, as well as potential and prior employees are held in our learner’s database, and other internet processing applications.

Where personal data on third party contacts is held, it is used for a number of purposes, such as but not limited to:

  • promoting and developing our online educational services;
  • managing relationships between the learner and third party;
  • providing online education to our learners, where a third-party affiliation is helping us to deliver educational services to our learners; and/or
  • administering and managing our website and all online systems. 

EMPLOYEES

Where an individual is applying to work for THA, personal data is collected through the application process.

  • Employment - we process an applicant’s personal data in order to assess their potential employment with THA.
  • Administration and Management We may also use this personal data in order to make informed management decisions and for administration purposes.

Personal data collected for applicants is held for as long as necessary in order to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or, subject to applicable laws, for a maximum of one year where those purposes no longer become necessary.

PERSONAL DATA & COOKIES

THA may collect data about your general internet use by using a cookie file. A cookie file is a file that requests your permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you accept the cookie file, it will then be saved. The cookie then analyses web traffic or informs you when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can then process its operation to your likes and dislikes by collecting and remembering information about your preferences.

When individuals visit THA website, personal data is collected both through automated tracking and interacting with various forms on the website.

Personal data is also collected when individuals fill in forms on our websites or by corresponding by email or otherwise. This includes information provided when an individual is registered to use our websites, subscribes to our newsletters or services or makes an enquiry.

The data collected does not identify with the learner personally, it is statistical data collected when visitors use our website. All computers can automatically accept or decline cookies.

This can be done by activating the setting on your browser, which then determines how to deal with cookies.

SHARING PERSONAL DATA

THA shares personal data with others only if legally required to comply with the applicable laws and regulations for investigations or assist in fraud protection to establish, exercise or defend legal rights with contractual arrangements and security mechanisms put in place to protect the data to comply with our data protection and security standards.

Personal data held by us may be transferred to:

  • third parties to provide our educational services and to help, run and manage our IT systems. For example - providers of Information technology, cloud-based software, identity management, website hosting and management, data analysis, data back-up, security and storage services;
  • third party affiliations that assist us in providing services or information;
  • trainers who administer training on behalf of THA; and/or
  • law enforcement or regulatory agencies.
