Can I access these courses anywhere in the world?

Yes, absolutely. However, please note that for all short courses only, the assessment due dates will expire at midnight (Gulf Standard Time – GMT+4) on the cut off date of your course deadline, which commences from the date of purchase.

How do I register?

To learn and purchase a course with us, you’ll need a valid email address. Simply visit our sign up page to register. You will then receive an email from admin@theholisticalternatives.org confirming your registration, please also check your junk folder and add The Holistic Alternatives to your safe senders list for future emails.

Are my personal details safe if I create an account?

We take your security extremely seriously. For further information, please visit our Privacy Policy page.

How do I change my account details?

Log-in to your account and you’ll see a profile icon on the top right corner of the page, click on it and then click on ‘Edit Profile’ which will take you to your account details that you can amend at any time.

How do I change my password?

Log-in to your account and you’ll see a profile icon on the top  right corner of the page, click on it and then click on ‘Edit Profile’ which will take you to your account details where you will see a ‘Change Password’ tab, enter your new password and save the change.

I have forgotten my password. What should I do?

Simply click on 'Forgot Password' on the log-in page once you have entered the email registered with your account, you will then recieve an email to create a new password. Please also check your junk folder and add The Holistic Alternatives to your safe senders list for future emails.

How do I delete my account and personal details from your records?

 Please contact support@theholisticalternatives.org for a request to do this. 

Is there a student guide on how to use the student account?

Absolutely, on your student account simply click on the ‘Dashboard’ icon on the top left side of the page and click on the ‘Welcome’ tab. Here you will find step by step instructions on the ‘Getting Started Guidelines’.

I can’t seem to find the left side bar to navigate where I want to go once I have logged into my student account, why is that?

Please ensure you maximize your window screen or drag it wider and you will see the left side bar pop up.

How can I send The Holistic Alternatives feedback or testimonials once I complete a course?

On your student account you’ll see a profile icon on the top right corner of the page, simply click on it and then click on ‘Feedback’ and then complete your write up by clicking on ‘Send Feedback’. We would greatly appreciate mentioning if it is a testimonial and if you are happy for us to publish it on our website home page.

Why can’t I go to The Holistic Alternatives main website when I am logged into my student account?

Due to cache issues, you will not be able to visit The Holistic Alternatives website when you are logged into your student account unless you open it on a completely different internet browser to the one you are using. This is why we have added the ‘All courses’ and ‘All products’ tabs to your student account side bar which takes you straight to those pages for your easy browsing and adding to your account.

How do I delete my account and personal details from your records?

How do I subscribe to your newsletter?

Scroll to the very bottom of our main home page and you will see a section where you can enter your email address then click on ‘subscribe’.

How do I unsubscribe to your newsletter?

If you no longer wish to receive newsletters or hear from us with offers and promotions, please use the ‘unsubscribe’ option in the newsletter email that you have received. It may take a few days for these changes to take effect

COURSES

Who are these courses aimed for?

Everyone and anyone! Whether it is short or accredited diploma courses, they are used for either learning something new to those who have never delved in this field or equally brilliant as a refreshers course for those who are already certified in this field and continue to be lifelong learners.

How do the online courses work exactly?

All courses will contain educational videos from our teacher(s) that you are able to watch online as well as printable and downloadable material for you to study and keep for your guidance.

For the accredited diploma courses these materials are only available as you complete each lecture within each module.

Will I be able to ask questions?

Yes, there will be an online forum for all courses where Q&A’s are encouraged.

Only for accredited diploma courses, there may be a live Q&A session from time to time depending on the number of participants.

Are the live Q&As recorded?

Yes, and they will be uploaded to the online platform.

How long will I have access to all video recordings?

You will have access to all the videos until your course expires. You can find the course validity alongside the course title description on our main website.

Do you offer Continuing Professional Development?

Yes, we do. We are constantly creating new courses and these will be available soon.

Will there be any assessments for Short Courses?

Yes, for the short courses you will have a fixed timeframe to complete the course which includes an online multiple-choice assessment with a timer. In some courses the assessments may be open book, so do ensure to read all the instructions before you start the quiz.

Please note that all final assessments are supported by one attempt only, hence be sure when you are ready to 'start the quiz'. Be aware If you click the 'back' icon on your browser whilst you've already started the quiz this will automatically save and score yours answers and you won't have another attempt. This will determine a PASS/FAIL (80% required for a Pass mark)

You will get your results immediately after the quiz completion and you will know whether you have passed or in the unfortunate case, failed, on the bottom right side of the page. Upon final completion and passing the assessment, a certificate of attendance will be issued and emailed to you. .

Will there be any assessments for Accredited Courses?

Yes, for the accredited diploma courses you will have a multiple-choice assessment after each module. Please note that these module quizzes are supported by one attempt only, hence be sure when you are ready to do the quiz. Be aware If you click the 'back' icon on your browser whilst you've started the quiz this will automatically save your answers and score the answers and you won't have another attempt. Some modules will also include written assignments to submit.

The final assessment will include part 1) multiple choice questions with a timer and part 2) a submitted assignment and part 3) uploading any case studies required.

You will get your final results within 3 months of submission; this is due to the exam and assignments being sent out to an external UK examiner for marking after being marked by The Holistic Alternatives. 

Upon final completion a diploma will be issued and emailed to you. This diploma should then be sent to IFPA to be a full member of the affiliation for a fee of £80.00.

What accreditation is The Holistic Alternatives providing for the accedited diploma courses?

For all learners interested to study one of the accredited diploma courses, please note you will receive a diploma from The Holistic Alternatives which is an International Federation of Professional Aromatherapist (IFPA) accredited online school. This diploma should then be emailed/mailed to the IFPA Association in England to enable them to become a full member of the IFPA for a fee of £80. ifparoma.org/membership/membership-types/

Why should I choose the IFPA accredited diploma course of The Holistic Alternatives?

1.     The Holistic Alternatives has been approved by the IFPA to teach the IFPA curriculum which is a Level 4 education prospectus and of a high standard

2.     The Holistic Alternatives is a direct affiliation of the IFPA. This means that once students register for this course, THA automatically registers students to become ’Student Members’ of the IFPA where you can then enjoy the benefits and research material they provide and furthermore, receive the bi-annual ‘In Essence’ magazine filled with tons of information.
